I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder 6 years ago with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology. My background and interests lie in international non-governmental organizations, which are also subject to most of my criticisms on this blog. More recently, I've become an advocate for social business, specifically fair trade fashion.
I'm half Cambodian and grew up in white, suburban America. That has led to a life-long identity crisis that will show itself in my writing from time to time.
Everything in Cambodia is both foreign and familiar, sometimes encouraging, but usually heartbreaking.
